Vicky Marmolejo and industry specialists Meetings Alliance and Industria de Reuniones have created this virtual space to connect the MICE industry and business.
The new virtual program, Coffee Talks with Vicky Marmolejo—a space where specialists and leaders of the Meetings Industry and Tourism share information, analysis, and opinions—recently launched its first successful broadcast, during which its founders introduced the specifics of the project.
The first guests were Sandra Reed, the founder and CEO of Meetings Alliance (MA), and Tony Yarto, CEO of Incubatur, Turespacio, and Industria de Reuniones (IR). They are co-creators of the program with Vicky.
“When the three of us sat down, we had one intention: to unite, share, and educate. MA and IR are bringing together a community of more than 25,000 professionals, as well as a great international spokesperson. We are the most professionalized industry in tourism,” said Tony Yarto.
“We want to connect the Americas, so those from the north can go to the south and vice versa. We have to improve communication with the leaders of each country and use this pandemic to learn because many industries do not know the MICE industry. It is an area of opportunity,” stated Sandra Reed.
The virtual world has opened up more possibilities, and Coffee Talks addresses the need to communicate to do business. The flow of information between destinations, authorities, associations, companies, venues, and other organizations is vital.
Through Coffee Talks, MICE and tourism industry professionals can broaden their perspectives through dialogues with industry leaders and specialists. Guests will include leading figures from SITE, PCMA, MPI, COCAL, ICCA, and government authorities, among others.
Coffee Talks will also provide coverage of events and destinations, seeking to stay at the forefront of new ways of seeing, thinking, and acting on what 2022 has in store.
Broadcasts will be via Facebook Live from the Meetings Alliance and Industria de Reuniones’ platforms every Monday at 9:00 a.m. (UTC/GMT -5 hours).
