After 5 months of group work, as part of the South America MICE Alliance, the cities of Bogota (Colombia), Quito (Ecuador), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Lima (Peru) and Sao Paulo (Brazil) —through their Convention Bureaus, they declare to be ready to reactivate the Meeting Industry and consolidate themselves as preferred destinations for the celebration of Events in the region.
The Alliance looks to:
With the purpose of promoting reactivation of Tourism and other important areas, Peruvian authorities developed and endorsed 11 sanitary protocols, one of them referred to MICE. It is to be known that more than90% of the economic activities of the country have managed to start operation and as per estimates, Peru could grow 6% during 2021, being the highest number in Latin America.
Denisse Mac Cubbin, Executive Director of the Convention Buro of Lima, emphasized the destination has the Safe Travels certification, granted by the WTTC.
