Leaders of Central America and the Dominican Republic held the 67th Board of Directors Ordinary Meeting of the Tourism Promotion Agency (CATA) to analyze the actions carried out during the second half of 2021.
The meeting was led by the Minister of Tourism of Guatemala, Mr. Mynor Cordon, the country that holds the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Central American Tourism Council, and thus leading the actions promoted by the CATA Board of Directors.
Minister Cordón reiterated in the meeting, “This has been a challenging year in which the region has demonstrated its commitment to move forward and promote the multi-destination district in the international markets. I invite you all to face with optimism the year 2022, which I am sure will be very successful in positioning Central America and the Dominican Republic as a leading region in the Americas.”
In conclusion, the Tourism Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to continue working in 2022, as this year offers higher levels of recovery in the tourism industry. The organization is betting on strengthening the capacities of the small and medium-sized businesses, as well as greater integration and promotion of the added value offer between Central America and the Dominican Republic.
