Acapulco de Juárez, commonly called Acapulco, is a city, municipality and major seaport in the state of Guerrero on the Pacific coast of Mexico, 380 kilometers (240 mi) south of México City.

Acapulco is located on a deep, semicircular bay and has been a port since the early colonial period of Mexico’s history. It is a port of call for shipping and cruise lines running between Panama and San Francisco, California, United States.

The city of Acapulco is the largest in the state, far larger than the state capital Chilpancingo. Acapulco is also Mexico’s largest beach and Spa resort city.

Some of the next events in Acapulco for 2020, Mexican Congress of Ophthalmology, from June 6 to June 10, 2020,  at the Mundo Imperial Convention Center (Acapulco, Mexico) with the attendance of 8 thousand people, the X International Congress of Surgery of the Digestive System, to be held from 25 to August 29, 2020, with 600 attendance and the XXX Latin American Congress of Hydraulics, which will be held from October 5 to 9, 2020, with the assistance of 700 people from more than 20 countries.
