The event gathered around 200 exhibitors and 250 buyers from 13 countries to market tourism products from Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico.

The Mundo Maya Organization held the Mundo Maya Virtual Business Match Making, from July 27 to 29, 2021, in an effort to promote tourism reactivation whitin the Mayan Region which includes Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico.
The event’s goal is to provide a digital platform where tourism agencies and companies belonging to the Mundo Maya Organization could conduct commercial exchanges and meetings with tour operators and wholesale travel agencies from the Americas.
During the 3-day-event, assistants held 15-minute virtual meetings to identify ways of working together. Exhibitors representing the Mundo Maya’s tourist sectors and buyers, wholesalers, tour operators, and travel agents from markets such as the United States, Canada, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru, participated in the event.
This corner of the world features multiple tourist attractions, such as the 1,140-mile archaeological and ecological circuit that runs through the five countries. There are quealified DMCs available in the area to take groups on unparalleled incentive trips.
These destinations have a wide variety of hotels with convention centers and alternate venues to hold a meeting, event, or convention.
All the region’s member countries are connected by air and are open to tourists; they welcome visitors without quarantine requirements, although some require a negative antigen test to enter.
