This region’s climate is warm and semi-arid. Each season is very defined, as are the extreme conditions within it. The average annual temperature is 77ºF (25ºC) with extremes that can swing from 32ºF (0ºC) in winter to 104ºF (40ºC) in the summertime. There’s very little rain in the summer; the Atlantic hurricane season extends from June 1st through November 30th.
