Guadalajara, the Mexican city par excellence, is preparing to host a great sports event: SPEED, taking place next November 25-26, 2021 at the Pan-American Velodrome.
As it is well known, Guadalajara is pursuing to be recognized as the sports city, due to the sporting infrastructure built to host the Pan-American Games back in 2011.
The city has world-class facilities to practice around 50 sportive disciplines. The local government has developed programs so that Guadalajara’s inhabitants actively participate in physical activities programmes and several sport schools and academies have also promoted their sports, what have kept the facilities properly functioning after the Pan-American games.
Among the most outstanding facilities, there are soccer and baseball stadiums, basquetball and tennis courts, athletics track, swimming pools, gymnasiums, and sports complexes, which because of its capacity to receive around 5,000 spectators, they have been host venues of diverse championships of different disciplines like karate or artistic gymnastics at national and international level.
The local government has capitalized the investment made initially for the Pan-American Games, and the city was awarded in 2020 as World’s Sports Capital by ACES Europe association, overtaking important cities like Abu Dhabi, Málaga or even Madrid. This award takes into account, not only the quality of the sportive facilities, but also the percentage of local population involved in physical activities.
Due to the great sportive career the city has developed recently, SPEED will take place in this marvelous city, gathering important international sports brands, CEO’s, decision makers of the industry, as well as professional athletes and students.
